Roadmap
Step 1 – Play through the game on any difficulty you want
First of all, enjoy this great game, and don’t worry too much about the trophies. Just make sure that you use every weapon for quite some time to reach level 5 with every weapon (pre-challenge mode maximum level) to avoid grinding in the end game. Don’t worry about the holocards and the bolts. You will have more than you need in the end. Also, make sure you don’t use Auto Hack on the trespasser puzzles.
Step 2 – RYNO Holocards & Gold Bolts
After finishing the story collect every RYNO Holocard and all Gold Bolts. So you don’t have to worry about that on your second playthrough. See Full Gun Rack and Ultimate Explorer for more information.
Step 3 – Challenge Mode & Remaining Trophies
Now it’s time to beat the game again on Challenge Mode. Use every weapon again until you reached the maximum level. Buy every upgrade, reach the maximum bolt multiplier, and don’t forget to use the Groovitron on every Enemy! Also, do all the miscellaneous trophies which are left. See the trophies for more information.
Trophy Guide
The Hero of Heroes Collect every trophy in Ratchet & Clank |
---|
Super Trader Complete every holocard set. |
||
---|---|---|
Collectible | ||
► There are a total of 108 Holocards in the game, divided into 33 Holocards sets, you need to complete. There are two different types of Holocards. The 99 standard cards (33 sets) and the 9 RYNO Holocards (one set).
You can find the Standard Holocards randomly and individual dropping from defeated enemies. You can also find packs of three cards all around the world. Which cards you get is always completely random, so there is no particular location for specific cards. You can see the location of the packs on the map after finding the Map-O-Matic. You can find the Map-o-Matic gadget on Kalebo III after completing the grind sequence in a glass container. To avoid searching hours over hours cards until you got the one you need, the game gives you the ability to trade card duplicates. Every time you find five cards you already got, you can trade them for one specific card. Do this to get every card you need and Trade Up as well.
The RYNO Holocards are completely different from the Standard Holocards. Each card has its own specific location you need to find. Most of them are behind some Trespasser Puzzles or you will get them as a reward for winning the Hoverboards Gold Cups. See Full Gun Rack for more information and a video guide that will show you every location.
Note: Don’t worry about the cards! You don’t need to find every pack on the map and you also don’t need to farm the cards. After your Challenge Mode Playthrough, you will have a lot, and I mean a lot, of cards left. Only concentrate on getting all RYNO Holocards, the rest will come naturally. |
Challenging Complete the game in Challenge Mode. |
||
---|---|---|
► After beating the game for the first time (doesn’t matter which difficulty you choose) you will unlock the Challenge Mode which you can access from the Start Menu. The Challenge Mode is a kind of New Game Plus Mode, which means that your stats, weapons, gold bolts, and holocards will carry over to the new playthrough. Also, you will get the ability to upgrade all of your weapons past level 5 to level 10. You will unlock Master of War by doing so.
To unlock this trophy you need to beat the whole game in challenge mode (doesn’t matter which difficulty you choose). The trophy will pop after the credits. |
Master of War Upgrade every weapon to maximum level. |
||
---|---|---|
► To unlock this trophy you need to upgrade every weapon to Level 10. To do so you need to kill enemies with a certain weapon. On your first standard playthrough, you can only upgrade to level 5, so don’t waste your time by using a weapon you have already upgraded to maximum. Also, it’s important to know that you can’t level up your weapons to level six or higher until you collect the Holocard Set from this weapon. See Super Trader if you want to know how to collect holocards. Make sure you stop using a weapon if you reached the maximum level.
After you finished your first playthrough, finish the game in Challenge Mode. In Challenge Mode you can buy the necessary upgrades at the vendor. The upgrades cost between 100,000 to 350,000 bolts. In total, you will need 3,5 million bolts. So make sure you keep your bolt multiplier as high as possible.
Note: The maximum level and the Upgrade Modifications are not the same. See These Go To Eleven to find some information about the Upgrades buying with Raritanium. |
These Go To Eleven Unlock every modification for every weapon. |
||
---|---|---|
► To unlock this trophy you need to buy every modification with Raritarium at the Vendor. Raritarium is the second currency in the game, which is only used by buying upgrades for your weapons. You will get Raritarium randomly by killing enemies (you can higher the drop chance by completing holocard sets and upgrading your weapons). Also, you can find Raritarium at certain points on the map. You can see the location of Raritarium on the map after finding the Map-O-Matic. You can find the Map-o-Matic gadget on Kalebo III after completing the grind sequence in a glass container. To buy the modifications go to a vendor and press to see the upgrade menu. Buy every upgrade for every weapon and the trophy will unlock. You can see if you completely upgraded a weapon at the percent number on the right top corner. Not all upgrades are available from the start, you need to level up a weapon to unlock new upgrades.
Note: The maximum level and the Upgrade Modifications are not the same. See Master of War to find some information about the maximum level.
Note: Don’t worry about Raritarium! You don’t need to find every Raritarium on the map and you also don’t need to farm Raritarium. After your Challenge Mode Playthrough, you will have a lot, and I mean a lot, of Raritarium left. |
Mr. Fancypants Upgrade Ratchet’s health to maximum level. |
||
---|---|---|
► Ratchet’s maximum health level is 200. On your first playthrough, you can only level up to 100, so you need to play a second playthrough to unlock this trophy. In challenge mode, the level cap is 200. To level up, you need to kill enemies. Every time you kill an enemy you will get a certain number of XP. Just kill enemies until you reached level 200 and the trophy will unlock. |
Tech Head Acquire every gadget. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
► You can find 16 gadgets in the game. Most of them you will find during your normal story playthrough, for some of them you need to finish Side Missions. Nothing is missable, you can come back to any planet at any time to collect the gadgets. You can see in the Pause Menu which Gadget you are missing.
Note: If the trophy doesn’t unlock after collecting the last gadget, pause the game and look at the Gadgets Menu.
|
Abby Normal Collect every Telepathopus brain. |
||
---|---|---|
► To unlock this trophy you need to find all Telepathopus brains on the map, 90 in total. You have to collect 30 brains to advance in the story. I highly recommend you leave the 60 brains left until you got the Map-O-Matic and get all of them in one go. You can find the Map-o-Matic gadget on Kalebo III after completing the grind sequence in a glass container. The Map-O-Matic will show you the location of each brain on the map, which makes it much easier. After you collected all brains go back to the Scientist and talk with him. He will give you the Box Breaker and the trophy will unlock. |
Go Speed Ratchet, Go! Win the Gold Cup on both Rilgar and Kalebo. |

---|---|---|

Safecracker Complete every Trespasser puzzle without using AutoHack. |
||
---|---|---|
Missable | ||
► There are 16 Trespasser Puzzles in the game, you need to solve without using AutoHack. Don’t press or you will use the AutoHack and you missed the trophy for this playthrough. Most of the puzzles are story-related and the few others are required to get to some RYNO Holocards or Golden Bolts. So you need to solve them anyway. To see the solution from every 16 puzzles see the video below.
Note: Some puzzle have a different layout depending which difficulty you play. There are two possible layouts, one for Casual and one for Normal and Hard. You can change the difficulty at any time in the Pause Menu. The trophy will not locked by changing the difficulty.

---|---|---|
Missable | ||
► You can find two types of enemies on Rilgar, fighting each other. First, the Green Slime Blobs named Amoeboids, and second the yellow robots named Extermibots. Let them kill each other until you got the trophy. The trophy is missable because if you kill the extermibots too fast, they can’t kill enough amoeboids. ||
---|---|---|

The easiest way to find it is after completing the story, revisit the Deplanitiser, and use the teleporter right at your ship to teleport to the Core. Go back-track through the big hall, with a lot of enemies in it, to the tunnels. Cross the first intersection with two locked doors. After a short right turn, you will find a gangway to the left and also two locked doors. Qwark’s Lounge is behind the left door. Stand in front of the door for a couple of seconds until you hear Qwark start speaking. After he finished his monologue the trophy will unlock. | ||
Lazy Lombax Ride every catwalk without moving in Kalebo. |
||
---|---|---|
Buggy | ||
► On Kalebo III you can find four catwalks (conveyor belts), you need to ride on over the whole distance without moving. The first three belts you can find directly at the start on the bridge leading to the Office where you can start the race. The fourth catwalk is a bridge between the second and third testing sequence. After riding the third belt go to the Office from the gagdetron employee (where you can start the Race) and turn right. Go through the testing room and turn right to find the catwalk. Go to the start of one belt and walk on the belt, at the moment you are on the belt, stop using your controller and don’t move (you can use the camera, but don’t move with Ratchet) until you reached the end of the belt. The trophy will unlock after you ride the fourth belt completely.
