Roadmap

Step 1 – Play through the Story & complete all Side Quests

By playing through all of the Main and Side Quests you will catch a lot of the 100 Bugsnax. So it’s recommended to not concentrate on them for now, just do all the quests. Make sure you also interview every Grumpus, so you will get all hints and clues. You will need them at the end of the story. If you stuck on a mission check out Know Thy Neighbor, Sidetracked, or for the final mission Survivor. Before the final mission, you will get a “point of no return” message. Don’t worry about that, you can come back later. But you will make the final mission easier if you have finished all Side Missions, but you don’t have to. Also, make sure you scan the Snaxsquatch inside the final mission, so you don’t have to play it again.

Step 2 – Catch all remaining Bugsnax

After finishing all Missions it is time to catch the remaining Bugsnax. Check out Got To Catch Them All for a video guide with all of the 100 Bugsnax in the game.

Step 3 – Clean up

After catching all of the 100 Bugsnax you will have maybe some trophies left. For example Launch Party, That Reminds Me of a Puzzle or Sundae Best. Now it’s time to clean them up and unlock the Platinum.

Trophy Guide

Bugsnax Master
Obtain all of the trophies.
Vacation’s End
Complete the main story of Bugsnax.
Story Unmissable
► To unlock this trophy you need to finish the main storyline. You will come to a Point of no return. Don’t worry about that, you can come back after finishing the story. Try to save every Grumpus at the end for the  Survivor. Check out the trophy for a video guide with the Ending of the game.
Got To Catch Them All
Catch 100 unique species of Bugsnax.
Missable
► The game is divided into 8 different areas where you have to catch all 100 Bugsnax at least one time to unlock this trophy. Most of the Bugsnax are straight forward and easy to catch. It’s recommended to play through the Main and Side Quests first because you need to catch a lot of the Bugsnax to complete these quests. Also for a lot of them, you need a certain tool, which you will get during the story. Make sure you don’t miss Baby Cakeleg and Wee Mewon in the boss fights. Because they are only spawning during these fights. That’s why this trophy is missable. Check out the Video Guide below for information on where and how to catch all 100 Bugsnax.
Sidetracked
Complete all of the side quests.
► After you helped a Grumpus and he or she returned back to Snaxburg you can interview them, which you have to do for Talkin’ Bout Bugsnax. After that, they will have other tasks for you, the Side Quests. There are 38 Side Tasks you need to complete. Talk to them and do what they want, sometimes you need to reach a certain point in the story or have to wait some days until the next quest will become available. If you need a complete guide to all Side Quests check out the spoiler below.

Bossy Bugs
Defeat all of the Legendary Bugsnax.
► There are 4 Legendary Bugsnax in the game, which are all of them part of a Side Quest.

  1. Mama Mewon: This Boss is part of the mission “Throw Down!” by Chandlo. The fight takes place in Flavor Falls behind the stone wall you can reach if you walk through the waterfall. Set your trap under the stalactites to catch some of the Baby Mewon and Mama Mewon will come to protect her children. Mama will get stunned and you can use your grapple to take down the stalactites.
  2. Megamaki: This Boss is part of the mission “Dance with the Dragon!” by Wiggle. The fight takes place in Boiling Bay at the beach and in the water. Use your grapple between the poles to stun the boss and catch the parts of him until only the head is left.
  3. Mothza Supreme: This Boss is part of the mission “A Slice of Heaven!” by Cromdo. The fight takes place in Sizzlin’ Sands at the pyramid. Place the Bombinos on the launchpad and fire them against the boss. When he gets down use the grapple to pull down the pizza slicer.
  4. Daddy Cakelegs: This Boss is part of the mission “Cake Boss!” by Snorpy. The fight takes place in Frosted Peak at various locations. Use your grapple at a torch to light up the rope and shoot it at the candle on the top of the boss, or at a pole so that his walking path will cross the rope.

Check out the video guide below if you need more information.

Survivor
All of the Grumpuses survive.
► In the last mission of the game, you need to protect the Grumpuses in various tasks at six different battle stations. You have to use different tools you collected during your game. If you are doing not so well the Grumpuses you need to protect can die and the Trophy will be missed. The Grumpuses can not die if you completed all Side Quests from them, so if you are having trouble with this do this first. When a Grumpus press and Restart from Save. You can also come back after completing the story. There is no “Point of no Return” as the game will tell you.
